Terms of Use

Effective October 29, 2026 · Version 2

The short version

These terms apply to everyone who uses funsouthfl.com ("the site"), run by Fun South Florida ("we", "us"). By using the site, or by buying or running an ad on it, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Using the guide

We work hard to keep listings accurate, but places change their hours, prices, events and policies without telling us. Information on the site is provided "as is", for general information only. Please check details directly with the venue before you visit.

Listings and ads link to other businesses' websites. We don't own or control those businesses or their websites, and we aren't responsible for their services, events, content or safety. A listing or ad on our site isn't an endorsement or guarantee.

Please don't misuse the site. For example, don't try to break in, overload it, scrape it in bulk or fake ad views or clicks.

Affiliate links

Some listings include a "Tours & tickets" link to Viator, or a "Check rates" or "Stays nearby" link to Stay22 (which sends you on to booking sites such as Booking.com or Expedia). These are affiliate links: if you book through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Bookings are made with those companies and the tour operator or hotel, under their terms; we don't run the tours or hotels and aren't responsible for them. Affiliate links never affect which places we list or how we describe them.

Advertising

Ad options and term

We currently offer these ad spaces, paid yearly or monthly:

Top strip bonus: 2 × 2 and 2 × 6 sidebar ads also take turns in the sponsored top strip at no extra cost, when a spot is open. The strip shows at most 5 businesses at once and paid top strip ads come first, so this bonus isn't guaranteed.

A yearly ad is one payment and runs for one year from the day it goes live. A monthly ad is a subscription: see "Monthly subscriptions" below.

Multi-ad discount: when one business runs more than one ad at the same time (yearly or monthly), the highest-priced ad is full price, the next is 10% off and the third and any further ads are 20% off. Free trials don't count toward the discount.

Prices may change in the future, but a price change never affects an ad that's already paid for. Your ad goes live once we've received payment and approved the ad. It runs until the end date shown in your advertiser account.

Monthly subscriptions

A monthly ad renews automatically each month, and your card is charged the monthly price on the same day each month until you cancel. You can cancel any time in your advertiser account ("Manage subscription"). When you cancel, your ad stays up until the end of the month you've already paid for, then comes down; you won't be charged again. If a monthly payment fails, our payment provider will retry your card for a short period; if it still can't be charged, the subscription ends and the ad comes down. Payments already made aren't refunded, including for part of a month.

Switching plans: you can switch a yearly ad to monthly; nothing is charged until the year you've paid for ends, and monthly billing starts the next day. You can switch a monthly ad to yearly; you pay the yearly price when you switch, your monthly plan stops at the end of the month you've already paid for, and your year starts right after it. Switching never overlaps paid time, and the multi-ad discount applies to both plans.

Free trials

From time to time we offer a free trial ad. A free trial runs for 30 days from the day you accept it, then ends automatically. Nothing is charged, and nothing renews unless you choose to buy an ad. When a trial ends, your regular free listing (if you have one) stays on the site. Free trials are limited to one per business, are offered at our discretion and aren't available for seasonal listings (Halloween events, pumpkin patches and holiday light displays).

No refunds

All ad purchases are final. We don't give refunds or credits for yearly or monthly ads, for cancelling early, for unused time, for an ad that underperforms or for an ad we remove because it broke these terms.

Ad rules

You're responsible for your ad and everything it links to. Your ad must:

We don't accept ads that are adult or sexual, hateful or harassing, for illegal products or services, deceptive (including scams and fake offers) or that contain malware. We may decline any ad, or remove one at any time, if we believe it breaks these rules or isn't a good fit for a family-friendly local guide. If an ad needs a small fix, we'll usually ask you to change it before removing it.

By sending us ad materials, you allow us to display them on the site for the length of your ad, and to resize or crop them to fit the ad space.

Placement, rotation and statistics

When more than one ad shares the same type of space, ads take turns so each advertiser gets a fair share of views. We don't guarantee a specific position, number of views or number of clicks. The views and clicks shown in your advertiser account come from our own counting. They're reliable for comparing performance, but they may differ from other tools' numbers (for example, some visitors block counting).

Where ads appear

Sidebar ads (2 × 2 and 2 × 6) appear in the sidebar of pages that have one, on computers and wide tablets. On phones and narrower screens there is no sidebar, so sidebar ads appear in rows between the listings instead. We may add, change or remove pages, and the number and position of ad spaces on any page can change. Paid ads are shown ahead of free and complimentary ones, and the order of ads within each group changes each time a page loads. A Category Spotlight appears only on the page for its category.

Renewals and expiration

Yearly ads don't renew automatically. We email a renewal reminder before a yearly ad ends, but it's your responsibility to renew on time. Monthly ads renew each month until you cancel. When an ad ends, it comes off the site, and the space may go to another business.

Advertiser accounts

Advertiser accounts let you see your ads' views, clicks and end dates. Keep your login private; you're responsible for anything done with your account. Tell us right away at advertise@funsouthfl.com if you think someone else has used it. We may suspend an account that's misused. You can delete your account at any time in your advertiser login: deleting it removes your paid ads from the site immediately and stops all future payments (any monthly plan is canceled right away). Time already paid for isn't refunded. Your regular free listing, if you have one, stays in the guide; to have it removed as well, email advertise@funsouthfl.com. Your account never gives access to anyone else's information, and we handle your information as described in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer and limit of liability

The site and all ads are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, Fun South Florida isn't liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for anything that happens at a venue, event or business you find through the site. Florida law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date. Changes don't affect ads that are already paid for until they come up for renewal.
